    Huyghue resigns as UFL commissioner
    Huyghue resigns as UFL commissioner

    Michael Huyghue has announced his resignation as commissioner of the United Football League. Huyghue has been the second-tier pro league's commissioner since its inception in 2009. Huyghue said in a statement Tuesday that the UFL has "experienced significant funding issues" and that it seems "most prudent" that he step aside while owners attempt to raise funds for the 2012 season.
