CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Junior Sami Spenner posted the third-best pentathlon score in UNO history on her way to a second-place finish on the first day of competition on the Jack Jennett Invitational at Northern Iowa.
Spenner's 3,810 put her behind only former national champion Anastasia Kyvelidou and Shannon Moore in school history. Spenner finished less than 200 points behind Northern Iowa's Olimpia Nowak, who finished in the top 15 in Division I in the event last season.
