Omaha Fashion Week's grand finale runway show has become a spectacle, a night when manicured toes, mermaid-style gowns and bow ties are a must.
Late-night revelers packed the Old Market on Saturday to watch the city's most talented designers showcase the garments they've spent months creating.
The night was all about glitz and glam. VIP spectators strutted down a red-carpet entry, were photographed paparazzi-style and then ushered to their seats. The show opened with avant-garde gowns, angelic creatures and elegant eveningwear.
When more than 200 people line up on a parking garage and above the 10th Street Bridge to watch a much-touted fashion event, you know you've made it.
Omaha Fashion Week executive producer Nick Hudson said tickets accounted for 4,700 attendees at Saturday night's show, but with all the garage and bridge spectators, far more people saw it.
The Nomad Lounge averaged 300 people each night of Fashion Week for catwalk events.
