Fehr qualifies for U.S. Mid-Amateur

BEATRICE, Neb. — Brian Fehr of La Vista advanced to the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship by winning Thursday's qualifier at Beatrice Country Club.

Fehr shot 70 to finish one stroke ahead of Brian Csipkes of Gretna, Travis Minzel of Lincoln and Bret Taylor of Council Bluffs.
